?m? n’?ba n’?do Uku Akp?l?kp?l?, Akenzua II.(Reign: 1933-1978)

Born two years after British’s criminal and dastard attack on Benin Kingdom and pilfering of classical arts/archival records, Oba Akenzua II was coronated on this day in 1933 as ?m? n’?ba of Benin Kingdom.

Three years after his coronation, he started the restitution movement, expressly asking Britain to return the history they’d looted from the kingdom during his grandfather’s reign.
