In a recent Facebook post, a woman shared her frustrating experience attending a wedding where everything concluded much earlier than expected.
“I decided to buy the asoebi for a friend’s wedding,” she began. “But before I could even finish my makeup, the wedding was already over.”
The woman expressed her disappointment, stating, “I didn’t get to enjoy the asoebi, nor did I get to eat any food. By the time I arrived, the wedding and reception were done, everyone had eaten, and the venue was cleaned up.”
She recounted arriving at the wedding reception at 1 PM, only to find everything had ended. “How can a wedding be finished by 1 o’clock?” she questioned.
The bride apologized, explaining that it was customary for their church to conclude events early. However, this did little to console the woman, who had spent money to look her best, paid for a hotel room due to lack of accommodation, and traveled from Owerri to Port Harcourt.
“Oh God, I wanted to cry that day,” she lamented, reflecting on the expenses and effort she put into attending the event, only to be met with such a disappointing outcome.
