In a candid and fiery Facebook post, popular singer Akothee addressed the public’s intense interest in her personal life, particularly her romantic relationships. “We didn’t ask you for permission when we were falling in love, neither did we ask for your opinion when we fell out. Therefore, you have no say when we get back,” she wrote, emphasizing that fans should refrain from investing their emotions in celebrities’ love affairs.

Akothee highlighted the humanity of celebrities, urging her followers to understand that they, too, experience love and heartbreak just like everyone else. “Stop investing your emotions on celebrities’ love affairs, we are just human like you. We shall hurt you badly. One word to take home: I SLEEP WITH ONE MAN AT A TIME, I GIVE ATTENTION TO JUST ONE MAN AS LONG AS THE THINGS WE SHARE ARE MUTUAL. I LOVE HARD AND I MEAN IT.”

She went on to denounce the idea of juggling multiple relationships for material gain, stating, “I HAVE NO TIME FOR Tom wa Mpesa, John for a flight to Dubai, and Eric for rent. Choose a struggle and live a free life.”

Akothee confirmed that she had reconciled with her partner, Nelly, and asserted her independence from public opinion. “We are back like we never broke up. Better to go back than f**king your ex behind curtains. You all can’t tell me shit.”

In her post, she pointed out the envy she believes exists among her critics. “Most men on this page wish they were Nelly, and most women who troll me wish Nelly was theirs. If not, why are you hurt?” she questioned, leaving her audience with much to ponder about their own lives and judgments.

EDISON MUTUA:
You exemplify failure in marriage

OMURWA KISILAH ELVIS:
“Does anyone truly care about your past relationships or marriages? As a celebrity, wouldn’t it be wiser to spread positive vibes rather than dwell on endless past entanglements? Look at other international celebrities and what they post. You could learn a thing or two about using your fame positively.”

ASUNTA ALITH:
“I’m sure you took this man from someone else. Why would you do that? A real woman wouldn’t build her relationship on another woman’s tears. You left him, someone else picked him up, and now you’ve come back with full force and money to take him back, posting like this. I’ve been your fan, but this… well, let me mind my own business.”

TABBY CLARE:
“But this man never posts about you, Madam Boss. Is he really in love? I fear men who behave like this in a relationship. Outside, he might be telling people that you’re the one forcing things or saying bad things about you. Anyway, I hope he is genuine.”

MAURINE MIN DERRICK:
“You talk about love every single day as if you have something to prove. Akothee, is everything okay? Do you even sleep?”
