Nigerians at home and abroad have raised alarm over a disturbing TikTok live video where a woman allegedly threatened violence against Yoruba and Benin people in Canada. The woman, identified as Amaka Patience Sunnberger, reportedly stated that she would use dangerous substances and weapons to attack members of these ethnic groups.

In response to the video, Mrs. Abike Dabiri, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), revealed Sunnberger’s identity on social media. She confirmed that the woman has since deleted her TikTok account. However, concerned Nigerians in Canada have taken further steps by reporting her to the relevant Canadian authorities.

“This must not be tolerated,” one post stated, emphasizing a firm stance against tribalism. “We say no to tribalism, and we hope the Canadian authorities will act swiftly.”

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with many urging unity and peace among Nigerians, regardless of their location or ethnic background.
