23-Year-Old OOU Student Confesses to Serious Crime Involving FUNAAB Student
Lagos, Nigeria – Ayomide Adeleye, a 23-year-old student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), has confessed to a tragic incident involving 18-year-old Christiana Idowu, a student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Ayomide, currently in custody at the Lagos State Police Command Tactical Unit, expressed deep regret over his actions and revealed details surrounding the case.
According to reports, Christiana, who was also an Industrial Training (IT) student at Yaba College of Technology, had reached out to Ayomide several times seeking help with repairing her phone, as he had assisted her in the past. The two had been acquaintances for about three years, having attended the same church.
On the day of the incident, Christiana visited Ayomide at his home in Ikorodu, Lagos, where he attempted to fix her phone, which had minor issues. While she was distracted, Ayomide reportedly carried out his plan, influenced by personal struggles and financial difficulties. He then called Christiana’s mother, fabricating a story about her being in danger and demanding a ransom.
Ayomide has since admitted his involvement in the crime, and the police are continuing their investigation.
The case has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing sadness over the tragic outcome.
