Maureen Bahema, a Zambian woman residing in Sweden and a self-described lover of Jesus Christ, has captured attention on social media after sharing an open letter addressed to her future husband. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, September 25, Bahema expressed her thoughts on love, partnership, and unconditional support.
In her heartfelt message, Bahema reassured her future spouse that material possessions are of little importance when it comes to building a meaningful relationship.
“If I come over to your house, you don’t have to explain why you don’t have this or that,” she wrote. “If you don’t have food or drinks, I’ll buy us some. If your home is messed up, I don’t care, I’ll help you clean it. If your TV is small, I don’t care, something is better than nothing. No cable, let’s play cards!”
Her message also emphasized that true love and companionship transcend physical possessions. “No furniture? We can sit on the floor. You don’t have to feel bad or embarrassed, it’s very normal. I’m your friend, I’m your family. I’m your woman,” she added.
Bahema’s post has since gained widespread attention, resonating with many who appreciate her genuine and down-to-earth approach to relationships.
