Teachers at Kandana Primary School in Bulilima, Matabeleland South Province, Zimbabwe, are threatening to abandon their posts, citing disturbances caused by what they believe to be a “female goblin.”

The supernatural events, which reportedly began in June last year, were not brought to the attention of community leaders until the current school term, as the situation escalated.

Sources at the school revealed to iHarare that the alleged goblin visits teachers’ homes at night, disrupting the peace by scattering kitchen utensils and creating noises resembling someone cooking. Some teachers claim to have seen the entity in visions, identifying it as a female figure.

“It comes at night, dropping kitchen utensils. At times, we hear movements as if someone is walking. In some cottages, teachers hear what sounds like someone cooking. A few of our colleagues have seen it in visions and described it as having a female body,” said one of the affected teachers.

Another teacher expressed concerns over the sleepless nights caused by the alleged goblin, adding that while no non-consensual acts have occurred, there is growing fear that it could escalate.

“We suspect it might be the same goblin that terrorized police officers at Gwambe Clinic, where male officers reported sexual assaults. Here, those who see it in visions report seeing a female goblin. If nothing is done soon, we will have no choice but to request transfers, as we are unsure of what might happen next,” the teacher explained.

The school’s proximity to Gwambe Clinic has heightened fears, with reports indicating that police officers stationed there fled after being allegedly assaulted by female goblins while they slept.

In response, the local community has begun raising funds to hire witch hunters to perform an exorcism. They are also appealing to community members abroad for financial support to help resolve the situation.
