As their wedding day approached, a couple faced an unexpected hiccup when their beautifully planned ring box turned into a comedy of errors, thanks to a botched engraving job.
According to the bride, they had ordered a sleek ring box (referred to as F1) from AliExpress as far back as May, but missed the option to have it engraved before shipping to Nigeria. Hoping to add a personal touch, they entrusted the engraving to a company in Calabar known for its work.
To their dismay, the final result was far from expectations. “We had seen samples in their store and thought they’d do it right, but look at the rubbish they did!” she lamented, sharing a side-by-side comparison of their purchase (F1), their engraving request (F2), and the outcome (F3).
After voicing their disappointment, they requested a remake. However, the redo was even more shocking, as the engraving featured a completely different name—giving the bride an unexpected “new husband.”
Images of the mix-up quickly went viral, sparking a wave of sympathy and humor online. “F4: They almost gave me another husband,” she joked, showing the incorrect remake.
Despite the setback, the couple remains optimistic about their big day. Their story has since become a reminder to double-check every detail, even for something as simple as an engraving.
