Renowned actress Dalyce Curry, celebrated for her performances in iconic films such as The Blues Brothers, The Ten Commandments, and Lady Sings the Blues, has tragically passed away in the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. She was 95.

Authorities confirmed that Curry’s remains were discovered at her residence in Altadena, California, which was destroyed by the devastating blaze.

According to her great-granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, the actress was last seen on the evening of January 7, when Kelley dropped her off at home. The following morning, Kelley attempted to return but was unable to pass police barricades as wildfires ravaged the area.

The family searched for Curry at the Pasadena Civic Centre, a shelter set up for displaced residents, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.

Several days later, officials confirmed that Curry’s remains were found amid the ruins of her home.

Curry’s illustrious career spanned decades, earning her recognition as a trailblazer in Hollywood. Her family and fans are mourning the loss of a beloved star whose legacy will endure through her timeless performances.
